Mental Mathematics

Years ago when I was subbing in French Immersion classes, I found a mental mathematics program called "jogging de tete" and have been looking for similiar question in English. Finally, I found it tonight.

There are questions for children at each grade, one through eight, and they are in PDF format for easy printing.

Math Ideas for the Start of the Year

Grade school teachers can use math to introduce children to their classmates. I found this link from Proteacher with some simple games, such as "How much is your name worth?" and an activity with Skittles. Skittles are great because they are nut and gluten free. 1. I have a flat top and bottom face. I have no vertices.

I am a cylinder!
